Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, January 2, 2009 -- The Federal Bureau of Prisons will have a job fair on January 7, 2009, from 10am-5pm.  In a community effort to assist the Federal Corrections Complex at Pollock in filling the vacancies required to become an operational facility, should you know of anyone with these skills seeking employment, please pass the information to them.

The job fair is open to a wide variety of occupational skills, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers, Teachers and Recreational Specialists, all of which must be under the age of 37.  Persons above the age of 37 but younger than age 40 are sought for the positions of Physician Assistant, Medical Officer, Dental Officer, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Chaplain and Psychologist.

Interested job seekers may either apply on-line at www.usajobs.gov or have personal interviews with appropriate department heads by visiting the job site at the main entrance to the facility at 1000 Air Base Road, off US Hwy 165 just south of Pollock.  After entering the facility you will be directed to the interview area.  For more information call the Information Hotline (318)561-5345.
