Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, July 13, 2007 -- In conjunction with the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria, the Central Louisiana Economic Development Alliance (CLEDA) is conducting a comprehensive review of certain aspects of the local business operating climate. As the lead economic development organization for Central Louisiana, the Alliance provides comprehensive assistance for business expansion and recruitment.
“To succeed we need help from employers within the CLEDA region” states Chamber president Elton Pody. “We ask that local employers watch for and complete a confidential survey being mailed to them. The responses will form a critical foundation of research into the depth, quality and cost of the area’s operating conditions.”
Selected area employers will receive surveys in the mail during the week of July 9th. The survey will also be available on-line at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Qopq46FCFIIsha7yCsnU5A%3d%3d.
“The issues under study are critical factors for businesses selecting a location for a new facility or expansion. To create quality job opportunities and to meet the needs of industry, communities must understand and address these issues,” notes Pody.
The surveys are being conducted by the Wadley-Donovan Group of Springfield, NJ. For more information, contact Jay Ellington, the Chamber’s Director of Workforce Development, (318) 442-6671.
